The Community Health Workforce Development Institute (CHWDI) was established by CHEqI leaders to align and scale Community Health Worker (CHW) efforts and expand employment opportunities across the state of Indiana.

Under CHWDI and in collaboration with the Indiana State Department of Health, we have employed a team of 10 CHWs in high-need locations where significant health disparities exist.

We also train healthcare professionals in cultural and Spanish language competencies, and are exploring opportunities to improve collaboration across healthcare and community sectors.
