Charles E. Sanders, Jr, MD currently serves on the Board of Trustees for a large healthcare system in Columbus, OH that is committed to the healthcare of the underserved and socioeconomically disadvantaged populations in central Ohio. He serves as the Chair of the Patient Quality and Safety Committee that is focused on the delivery of high quality of care to all populations, alongside health equity. He previously served as the Vice President of Medical Education at the system, in which he oversaw the care of underserved populations through the system’s Graduate Medical Education Ambulatory sites. They implemented various innovative ideas to improve health equity. The system also has an outreach mobile service and several clinics that serve diverse populations.
