JASMINE D. GONZALVO, PharmD, BCPS, BC-ADM, CDCES is a Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice in the College of Pharmacy at Purdue University. She is the Director of the Center for Health Equity and Innovation at Purdue. Her practice for Eskenazi Health involves the provision of Cardiovascular Risk Reduction services in an underserved population with mental illness and for those who primarily speak Spanish. Her research interests relate to community health workers, cardiovascular risk reduction in underserved populations, integration of the Spanish language into practice and academic settings, and diabetes self-management education and support in the pharmacy setting. She has served on the Board of Directors for the American Association of Diabetes Educators. She is the current Chair for the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education Specialists. She is active in advocacy efforts at the State and Federal levels. In 2018, she was appointed to the National Clinical Care Commission charged with evaluating and making recommendations to Congress and the Secretary of Health and Human Services regarding federal activities related to diabetes.
